AJK Board 9th Class Date Sheet 2023
For Secondary School Certificate (Geveral Group), the subjects in first semester are: Islamiat, Ethics (for Non-Muslim students only) and Pakistan Studies, the second semester is consisted of subjects: Urdu or Sindhi Language, Compulsory English-I and Mathematics-I, the third semester is consisted of subjects: General Science, Compulsory English-II and Mathematics-II. The fourth and final semester is consisted of any two full credit courses or one full and two half or four half credit courses or the student can choose from four elective half credit courses.

Allama Iqbal Open University was established in 1974, it is Pakistan’s only and Asia’s first Open- University at that time. The AIOU is world’s 4th largest University with annual enrollment of 1,121,038 students (as of 2010), the majority are women and course enrollment of 3,305,948 (2011) (Wiki source). AIOU has total of 32 campuses in various regions of Pakistan.
AIOU was established from getting inspiration by success of Open University of United Kingdom. The key factor of wide acclaim of AIOU is it’s free of cost of minimum cost fee courses and online learning facility. Working students, housewives, or for the sake of advancement in career, any person of any age can take admission the University.
AIOU Education Services
AIOU is also proving mailing services of books to students in distant area as well as in cities. The main aim of its establishment was to provide education to those who had left education due to domestic and financial reasons. Especially in rural areas of Pakistan, the access of Higher education is much lower than in metro cities. Through the online courses and semester system of AIOU, education has reached at the door steps of people.
The majority of Pakistani population is youth and also majority of them is deprived of educational access. AIOU has created a Student Assistance Fund for the poor and needy community of the country. Right to education must be given to every citizen of Pakistan; Government also keeps initiating many policies to encourage public to get education. Establishment of public Universities like AIOU is truly commendable in this respect. It has done its job of providing quality and minimum cost education to masses in its 40 years of establishment.
