Due to the COVID-19, the government has postponed all the examinations and decided to promote the students in the next grade. This year no exam will be held and the promotion policy will be adopted by the government. By following the government’s decision the Punjab Board of Technical education also announced to cancel all the examinations. Once the government will declare the promote policy, the PBTE will adopt the same procedure to pass out the student so that their academic year can be saved.
PBTE All Exams Canceled
The examination has been canceled for all courses like Diploma of Associate Engineering, Commerce (D.COM, DBA, DHO, and DCA) and Matric (technical, vocational). Previously PTBE issued the admission schedule on 8th May and it will not be extended. Moreover, no admission data will be accommodated after the due date.
Discount On Examination Fee
The minister of industries, commerce, and investment, Mian Ahsan Iqbal announced to grant the 40% concession on the examination fee for the students. The students that will fall into the eligibility criteria of promotion policy, will be only eligible to avail this opportunity.
Instructions for the DAE/DMM – 3rd Year and DAE 4th Year Courses
40% concession in the examination fee will be granted to those candidates that will meet the requirements of the promotion policy such as
- Regular students of DAE/DMM – 3rd Year who passed the exams of the previous year and having compartments in 1st and 2nd year equal to 40% subjects of the final year.
- Regular students of DAE – 4th Year who passed the exams of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year and having compartments in these three years equal to 40% subjects of the final year.
- Regular students of DAE/DMM – 3rd Year courses
- Regular students of DAE–4th Year courses
The students having the compartments in more than 40% of subjects shall not fall into the promotion policy.
- The regular candidates of DAE/DMM 3rd year having the compartments in the more than 40% subjects need to submit the full fee so that they can appear in the special exam.
- The regular candidates of DAE 4th year having the compartments in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year the more than 40% subjects need to reappear in the special exam by submitting the full fee.
Instructions For Commerce Courses
- Concession in the examination fee will be granted to the regular candidates of the commerce students having the compartments equal to the 40% subjects of the final year.
- The regular candidates of commerce courses (D.COM, DBA, DHO, and DCA) having the compartments in the more than 40% subjects should submit the full fee so that they can appear in the special exam.
Instructions for Matric (Technical, Vocational)
- Concession in the examination fee will be granted to the regular candidates of the matric having the compartments equal to the 40% subjects of the final year.
- The regular candidates of matric having the compartments in 9th class more than 40% subjects shall appear in the special examination by paying the full fee.
Punjab board of technical education has not announced the promotion policy as it subjected to the final decision of Punjab government regarding this matter.
